ARTISTS FOR PEACE

Art Stop War is an international project that brings together internationally renowned artists from countries affected by national or civil wars, as well as from contexts in which human rights are violated. The initiative provides a shared space in which art becomes an instrument of peace, testimony, and reflection, expressing a firm condemnation of all forms of violence.

The project is based in two locations: in Venice, at Palazzo Zaguri in the San Marco district, and in Milan, at ArTheoria, in the immediate vicinity of Corso Buenos Aires. In both venues, exhibitions, cultural events, and artistic initiatives will be organized, dedicated to the promotion of peace and to the respect of the inviolable rights of the individual.

Through artworks, images, and contemporary visual languages, the project constructs a symbolic territory in which creative expression transcends geographic, political, and cultural boundaries and affirms itself as a universal language, capable of transforming the memory of suffering into awareness, opposition into dialogue, and conflict into a search for reconciliation.

Founded upon dialogue and the safeguarding of human dignity – regarded as a sacred and inviolable principle – Art Stop War stands as a cultural space devoted to the building of peace.
